Love won't keep us together. The pomegranate will. Apparently, disparate religions from around the globe can find common ground in their use of the pomegranate as a symbol of fertility and prosperity.
Now I'm curious if the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster can get into the action too...They could use a little sweet something after all that heavy pasta and meatballs.
Very funny. That flying spagetti monster really gets around.

i love pomegranates! did you ever see the 1989 paradjanov film called the color of pomegranates? it's about the armenian poet sayat nova. visually as rich as a sliced-open pomegranate. it shows now and then at anthology or moma, and i bet you can rent it at kim's.
