Well, lucky brownstone Brooklynites can add another nifty liquor store to their list of local shops - Smith & Vine just opened less than a week ago on uber-hip Smith Street, between Douglass and DeGraw. The shop is quaint and although it doesn't have a wide selection, it does have knowledgeable wine-loving owners who pick each bottle with care.
And, for the skinflint in all of us, they also have a special $10 and below table. Perfect for picking up a bottle of vino on your way to a friend's BBQ in their Carroll Gardens backyard!
But, I save the best part for last: It's open on Sundays. This is a trend I can really get behind. Viva la vino! Viva la Sunday BBQ's! Viva los Sunday BBQ's avec vino! (Please ignore my espaitaliafranglais. What can I say? Guess that Ivy League education didn't really pay off. Can I get my money back? I've got some wine I want to buy with it.)
so what day are they closed if they are open sunday? I thought (maybe wrongly) that liquor stores could only open six days a week still.
