Ugly Yummy

There is something about a large pot of stringy, mushy, grey-brown pulled pork. Something that, uh, kinda reminds one of a big pot of throw-up, rather than a tasty delicacy.

But somehow, you throw a mound of it on a bun, slather over some zingy barbecue sauce, put it on a plate with a few sides and you got yourself one kickin' meal...

...as proved to me last night at my friends John and Elisabeth's Brooklyn home.

So, they say don't judge a book by its cover. Guess you can't judge a pot of meat until it is covered.
