Remember when Emeril Lagasse was as hot as Cayenne Pepper? Well, it looks like his "bam" has finally gone "boom," with the Food Network canceling his Emeril Live show.
In the wake of the show's demise, if the network still wants kick up the ratings a notch Big Easy-style, I suggest they consider reviving the "Live" series, but shoot it on location from New Orleans instead of an NYC studio. And in terms of a chef/host, they might want to go for a less over-exposed Crescent City chef like Frank Brigtsen or Susan Spicer.
